ND Kiwi is one of the only tour providers catering for people of all mobility levels and our expert tour drivers are fully trained in helping wheelchair users make the most of their time on shore.

There’s a wealth of popular and world-class attractions within striking distance of Tauranga, including Whakarewarewa Living Geothermal Village, Te Puia cultural and geothermal experience, Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and the Lord of the Rings Hobbiton Movie Set Tour. The underground world of Waitomo Caves is also a popular choice, with the magical glowworm-filled Ruakuri Cave offering a wheelchair-friendly tour option.

Our accessible and mobility modified Ford Transit van features a wheelchair lift to comfortably cater for one person in a wheelchair plus up to five other passengers. If you require a different seating configuration please contact us and we’ll try our best to make it happen, or we can arrange for additional vehicles for groups with multiple members in wheelchairs.

Please note that it’s essential to pre-book tours so we have time to prepare the tour you’ve designed with all the care it deserves.

Your personally configured van and local tour driver are provided for only $750 per day.
Please also budget for the cost of admission to any attractions you wish to visit, as well as any cost of shopping, food or meals throughout the course of your tour.
